The Laois Senior Footballers face Sligo at home in Round 3 of the Allianz National Football League Division 3, tomorrow Saturday February 14th at 6pm in Laois Hire O’Moore Park.

Congratulations to Paul Kingston, who reached 100 senior appearances for Laois footballers vs Wexford on January 31st 2026 in Round 2, making him the 30th footballer to reach the mark. He also has 90 League & Championship apps.

When he came on as a substitute in the 2nd half vs Wexford in Round 2: Cian Ryle made his Laois senior debut and became the first Kilcavan player to play for Laois in the NFL since Derek O’Connell in 1998 v Monaghan.

Standout Players:

Jack Lacey done well in defence at left corner back. He displayed strong tackling in a hard working performance and also made some clever passes when he ran up the field, to contribute to attacking play.

Rioghan Murphy was brilliant throughout at right half forward. He scored 3 points from play which were excellently kicked. He displayed great vision and movement both on and off the ball and when in possession, he took on Wexford defenders with pace.
