This Recipes for Success booklet – filled with tasty, healthy, performance enhancing recipes that are easy to make – aims to support GAA players and members in making the right choices. The project is the result of a unique partnership between the GAA, the Home Economics Department at St. Angela’s College, Sligo, and the ATHE (Association of Teachers for Home Economics). The nutritional/diet content has been determined in collaboration with leading Irish sports performance nutritionist Críonna Tobin, of Optimum Nutrition. This unique collaboration is about brings together expertise from an array of sectors and was designed to respond to an identified need in GAA clubs for practical programmes supporting healthy eating for sport and the game called life.
