Killian Byrne became the first Ballyroan Abbey player to score a goal in the OBC since Diarmuid Whelan in 2019 vs Offaly with his goal vs Dublin in Round 1.

Evan O’Carroll provided a major attacking boost on his return from injury, scoring 0–6 (0–2 frees, 0–4 play). He was sharp in possession, made clever runs, created chances, and scored from a variety of angles in a well rounded attacking display. Evan starts at no.15 vs Limerick.
Killian Byrne really impressed on his Laois senior debut, dominating in the air, carrying the ball effectively, winning frees, running into the right spaces to recieve possession and finished with a well taken goal, palmed excellently into the net from a long delivery.
O’Byrne Cup Shield Semi-Final v Carlow
Ciaran Burke marked his return from injury with an excellent midfield performance, winning kickouts and high ball consistently and effectively, before delivering accurate long passes directly into Laois forwards that led to many scores.
Cian Nolan stood out with a lively display at right half forward on his Laois senior debut, with an undoubtedly man of the match performance. His pace on forward runs troubled Carlow throughout, resulting in three points from play and also won the penalty converted by Paul Kingston.
