Manager Tommy Fitzgerald has named the following side to face Derry: There are 3 changes from the side that faced Mayo in Round 1. Eoin Fleming replaces Cathal Dunne in goal, Fiachra C Fennell replaces Podge Delaney in defence and Martin Phelan starts in attack, to replace midfielder Aidan Corby.

Mossy Keyes has scored 50pts in 19 NHL apps, becoming the 15th Laois hurler to do so in 19 games or fewer – and the first player since Zane Keenan (2015).
James Keyes’ hattrick is the first Laois one in the NHL since PJ Cuddy vs Westmeath in Mar 1996.
Cillian Dunne’s brace is the first by a league debutant since Mick Ahearne vs Antrim in Feb 1976.
Against Mayo in Round 1 it was the first time we kept any team to 1pt or NIL in the first half of a NHL game since Kilkenny in 1998.
Aaron Dunphy made his 40th NHL app and James Keyes his 25th.
Dunphy will also made his 70th L&C app, Aidan Corby his 60th and Ian Shanahan his 25th.

Cillian Dunne was brilliant on his league debut for the Laois senior hurlers with a total score of: 2-2 from play, from right corner forward. With great long ball distribution, he also excellently set up scores. Including 2 of James Keyes goals.
Mossy Keyes was really impressive as he worked hard throughout at left corner forward. With a score of 3 points from play, his biggest contribution was his ability to get past Mayo defenders on the run and was involved in the set up of 3 Laois goals, 2 of them directly.
