Killeshin came close to causing a shock at O’Moore Park, but Portlaoise stayed cool under pressure to earn a 34th Laois SFC crown.
Cathal Brennan and Eoin Lowry struck goals for gritty underdogs Killeshin, but Portlaoise finished strongly.
The excellent Kieran Lillis and Gareth Dillon contributed handsomely for Portlaoise, while Brian Glynn also registered three points from play.
