Team News: Laois Manager Billy Sheehan has named his team for the game this Saturday as follows:

One’s to watch: After an excellent team performance in the great win over Fermanagh last Saturday, there are no shortage of Laois players who stood out!!

Emo duo Sean Greene and Padraig Kirwan were very strong defensively which limited Fermanagh’s attacking threat. Graiguecullen’s Mark Timmons secured GAA.ie’s Tailteann Cup Player Of The Week after a public vote as a result of his fine display against Fermanagh, scoring 1-1 which proved vital in the win. Portarlington’s Robert Piggot and Crettyard’s Evan O’Carroll were also selected on GAA.ie’s Tailteann Cup Team Of The Week.

Previous Meetings:

What’s Next:

The Quarter-Final stages of the 2023 Tailteann Cup are straight knock-out contests. A win for Laois will see them through to the semi final stages with a fixture to be held in Croke Park against one of the winners of the other quarter-final fixtures consisting of Antrim vs Carlow, Meath vs Wexford or Cavan vs Down. The semi-finals will take place next weekend June 24th/25th in Croke Park.

If Laois and Limerick are level at the end of normal time, there will be extra time/penalties on the day to decide the winner. A loss for Laois will see them eliminated from the competition.
