Full Details of Laois Scór na bPáistí 2023
2023’s Laois Scór na bPáistí will take place in St.Fintan’s Hall, Mountrath (beside the church) at 3pm on Saturday May 13th. This year there will again be competitions in Set dancing, Céilí dancing, solo singing, ballad groups, instrumental music, novelty act, table quiz, and recitation.
Scór na bPáistí is a series of competitions for primary and national school children who are members of a GAA club in their county, that combines all the colour and rivalry of Gaelic Games with the social & fun elements of Ireland’s traditional pastimes. The aim of the competition is to give children the opportunity to get onstage and showcase their talents.
The difference between Scór na bPáistí and Scór na nÓg is in the category of age level eligible to participate. Scór na bPáistí caters to primary & national school children while Scór na nÓg caters to young people under 17.
