Laois GAA Monster Draw 2026, Over €125,000 in Prizes and Vital Funding for Clubs.
Clubs and supporters across the county are being urged to get behind the Laois GAA Monster Draw 2026, with over €125,000 in prizes to be won across four major draws this spring and summer.
Run by Laois GAA, the Monster Draw has become one of the most important fundraising initiatives on the calendar, and for many clubs it represents their main source of income for the year.
Tickets cost €130, and crucially, once a club reaches its initial levy, €115 from every ticket sold goes directly back to that club.
Why This Draw Is So Important
Every club in Laois has an initial levy to meet. After that threshold is reached, almost 90 per cent of the revenue generated from each additional ticket goes straight back to the club.
To put that into perspective:
If your club sells 100 tickets above its levy, it generates €11,500 for itself, with no additional outlay.
In the current climate, where operational costs continue to rise, particularly insurance and facility maintenance, this funding is vital. It supports underage development, coaching structures, facility upkeep, and the long term sustainability of clubs at the heart of their communities.

“The Benefits for Your Club Are Tremendous”
Laois County Board Secretary Niall Handy has described the impact of the draw as tremendous for clubs.
He has outlined that once the levy and prize fund requirements are satisfied, €115 from every additional ticket goes directly to the club. He highlighted that if a club sells a further 100 tickets, it generates €11,500 for itself without any outlay.
He also pointed to the central role of the GAA club within every parish, describing it as a rallying point in times of difficulty and hardship, a place that provides lifelong memories and a strong sense of identity.
According to Handy, Laois GAA is built on pride in club and county, and this draw represents clubs and county working together to provide for the future, the Laois way.
