Manager Tommy Fitzgerald has named the following side to face Mayo:

Recent Laois Stats: Courtesy of Eoin Culliton: @LeixGaelicStats on Twitter.
Mossy Keyes has now hit exactly 150 points for Laois senior hurlers, putting him in 24th place on the all-time scoring list.
Included in that is an 11-goal haul, putting him in joint-46th.
James Young is still the top scorer overall (641pts).
Aaron Dunphy has now notched exactly 50 points in the Walsh Cup.
He’s the sixth Laois hurler to do so:
96 PJ Scully
91 Willie Hyland
69 James Young
66 Picky Maher
61 David Cuddy
50 Aaron Dunphy
James Keyes is the first Laois hurler in nine years to score 2+ goals in the Walsh Cup (Patrick Whelan, 2, 2017 vs DIT).
Eoin Fleming is the first Borris in Ossory-Kilcotton goalkeeper to start a Walsh Cup match since he did vs Carlow in 2018.
He had been only the fourth BK/Borris in Ossory/Kilcotton goalkeeper to start for Laois in the competition.
Christy O’Brien, Joe Rowland & Brendan Foyle.
Standout Players from the 2026 Walsh Cup:
Round 1 v Wexford:

Podge Delaney was in top form at centre back, particularly excellent at hitting long range balls from both play and frees, that led to opportunities and scores for forwards. His long runs down the field to carry possession really well, contributed greatly to attack aswel.
Cillian Dunne made his Laois senior hurling debut vs Wexford with an impressive performance. He started with a well taken score from play, worked hard to both win and turn over possession, injected pace into the full forward line as he was excellent at beating players on the run, and won frees in for Aaron Dunphy to score.
Shield Quarter Final v Carlow:
Eoghan Cuddy made some really strong tackles and produced timely interceptions to turnover possession in the half back line as he worked really hard and impressed in defence at left half back.
Shield Semi Final v Kilkenny

Jack Kelly’s performance stood out here as he proved to be a highly notable return to the squad, and a major boost up front after a lively display in attack. He was consistently involved in set up play from centre half forward, showed great vision and got some very good scores from play, alongside a point from a brilliant sideline cut. Total Score vs Kilkenny (0-4: 0-3 from play, 0-1 sideline cut).
