Laois Connects Mental Health Awareness Week will run from the 15th to the 22nd. of September next and aims to highlight the importance of taking care of our mental health and the importance of engaging with each other in communities through a variety of events and activities.

As part of the Awareness Week, the G.A.A. in conjunction with with Laois Sports partnership and Laois Connects is hosting an information night on Tuesday 18th. September @ 8.00pm in Leinster Council Offices, Mountmellick Road, Portlaoise to highlight some of the issues relating to mental health and sport and the work the association is doing in this area at community level.
Themes include - Mental Health & Well Being, Player Lifestyle, Pressures of the Modern Game, Sport and Alcohol/Drugs and Suicide Prevention & Response.
